We request you to take some time to go through the points below at your earliest convenience, as it will help you make the most of your time in therapy and help set the tone for therapy as a collaborative process.
In case you need any clarifications, or to address any discomfort around our boundaries, you can request for space to be made for you in session with your Therapist at any time (as noted within the policy).
If you’re new to this practice - you can alternatively choose to discuss them within your free first consultation call.
Welcome to BodyMindTherapy ("us", "we", or "our"). By accessing or using our website www.bodymindtherapy.in and the services we offer (collectively, the "Services"), you agree to comply with and be bound by the following terms and conditions:
1. It’s preferable to have gone through and accepted the terms below before your first paid session. In case you haven’t been able to do so, please let your Therapist know (they’ll also try and check in with you), and they will take this up with you in session itself to help address out any possible confusion or discomfort.
2. For when you need to change session timings: We understand that plans can change unexpectedly. To manage our mutual schedule effectively from our end and to accommodate all clients fairly, we request you to notify your Therapist of any changes as soon as you can.
3. For when you need to cancel/reschedule: We hold a 24 hour cancellation/rescheduling policy that needs to be assertive in its standing. Attempts to cancel or reschedule a session with less than 24 hours remaining before the scheduled session time will relate to a cancellation fee equivalent to the session fee. This fee compensates your Therapist for the time from their schedule that had been set aside specifically for you.
4. For when you need a breather: Every person coming into this practice is offered one grace cancellation fee waiver. You can use this for any one session you wish to cancel or reschedule for free (which might otherwise be related to a cancellation fee!) Just make sure to inform your Therapist of your wish to avail of this offering at the time of cancellation.
5. For when you’re running late (it can happen!): If you’re running late to a session, kindly inform your Therapist at the earliest. They can wait till about 15 minutes into the session time with this information – a waiting time cannot be guaranteed without due notice though!
6. For when you’re running really late: Past this aforementioned limit, you may need to confirm the Therapist’s availability once to see if the session can still be accommodated within their pre-existing schedule. This is to ensure you get enough time for your session while respecting other clients’ and the Therapist’s space within the practice.
7. For when you feel like you need more than 50 minutes in one session: Session duration extensions may be requested any time; you can do so directly at any point with your Therapist.
8. A note about your Therapist: They will inform you in case of any changes made to a decided schedule, as soon as they can. Please feel free to contact them in case they haven’t been able to do so.
9. If rescheduling or cancellation is initiated from their end, they will provide to you a new session time/date within 7 days of the previously decided time. We ask that you follow up with your Therapist to confirm this timing, since scheduling a time past this duration generally counts as a session cancellation.
10. We unfortunately do not have the capacity to ‘hold’ payments made beyond 7 days since the transaction time, so do make sure to schedule and confirm a slot in this timing!
11. Your Therapist will attempt to set a regular, recurring time slot with you, which they will also proceed to hold for future sessions on a tentative basis (pending confirmation via payment). This time for a future session will be confirmed with the client once before the closing of a given and present session; any changes to this schedule need to be re-confirmed with the therapist keeping in mind our cancellation policy mentioned above.
12. Suicide and harm related to self and others are tragic events with strong emotional repercussions for its survivors & for families of its victims. Every therapist’s attempt is to prevent such events from occurring. However, the acts under consideration are impulsive & as such our Psychologist(s) or BodyMindTherapy.in cannot be held liable for it. We do offer sessions based on immediate and urgent concerns, but these are still based on availability within the Psychologist’s schedule. It is important to note that we are not a crisis intervention centre and therefore do not provide emergency services. Clients who have an emergency must use local & available emergency resources.

2. We hold the value of your confidentiality in the highest regard. We would like to inform you that all the details that the client mentions on the website forms will be handled directly and only by our administration for the purpose of maintaining general records and appointments. Details discussed within the therapeutic space are not included here and are kept strictly confidential.
3. Our professionals reserve the right to discontinue therapy owing to their mental health and sense of security. We request you to let us know in case any clarification is needed in this regard.
4. In event of equipment failure or technical glitches within an online session, the session timings may be adjusted and no extra charges shall be incurred. This can further be discussed with your Psychologist.
5. Our mental health professionals do maintain an electronic record for each patient for whom they provide remote services. Such a record will include an assessment, client identification information, contact information, history, treatment plan, informed consent, and other information about fees and billing.
